The writer and philosopher HANNAH ARENDT coined the term “the banality of evil” to describe ADOLPH EICHMANN and the Nazi environment. Not only had they accepted a brutal, thoughtless approach to everything – where crimes against humanity could happen – they were, by nature, extremely banal themselves. And their own native banality contributed to the ease with which they adopted the brutality they applied to others. The more banal, the more brutal. The Republican Party has stepped in where Germany’s fascists left off. That applies to the evil and the banality equally.
And just as German Nazism had its super stars, so, too, does the modern Republican Party (the word “modern” being extremely ironic here). What is Donald Trump if not mediocrity written in smeared, bloated, orange lettering across the sky? He was never a business genius. He was and remains a total failure. If Trump had left daddy’s money in an old fashioned passbook savings account, he would have more of it left today than he does.
That’s why every mediocrity in the GOP loves Trump – he’s their patron saint FFS!
These mediocrities bob around like floaters in a septic tank: Chuck Grassley… Ted Cruz… Marjorie Taylor Green… Matt Gaetz…

Ah, but even among the mediocre and banal, there are those who, strangely, excel at being mediocre and banal. Almost atop this Pantheon Of The Pathetic sits Ohio’s pride and joy, Jim Jordan.
That’s the Jim Jordan who, while working as an assistant wrestling coach, looked the other way while a colleague molested the wrestlers under their care. That was Jim’s ethical high water mark! But then, Jim wouldn’t know ethics if he held ethics down while his friend molested it.
He was a racist shit from the get-go. He’s used racism throughout his life and career. If Jim had to actually compete with Black people on a playing field that was actually level? He’d never get hired for anything. Yeah, Black people, brown people, Asian people and Jews would replace them all – because Jim and his friends all suck at everything. Except whining about how much everything sucks.
The rest of us had to work a thousand times harder than white people like Jim Jordan just to have an equal-like shot at the American Dream. Like all white supremacists, Jim can barely spell “supremacist”. He’s the poster boy for the rot at the core of white culture.
Jim’s been one of Trump’s biggest cheerleaders. That’s because Jim’s also one of Trump’s biggest co-conspirators to commit treason. Hey, remember Jim’s response to “Hey, Jim, YOU talked to Trump a bunch of times on January 6, 2021, didn’t you! What’d Trump say to YOU?”
Jim’s most recent failure happened when the DOJ – led by a Trump-appointed judge – indicted ALEXANDER SMIRNOV, the long-time FBI informant who, it turns out, was a Russian intelligence asset feeding us bullshit. Feeding Jim Jordan and the entire Republican Party bullshit. What did Mediocre Jim say when confronted with these unfortunate (for him) facts?
“Hummina-hummina-hummina”. Every time Jim Jordan opens his mouth, bullshit explodes forth. He went on to connect dots that no longer connect the way he needs them to. Because that’s what conservatives do when faced with reality. They deny the reality and pursue their wet dream version of it instead.
Jim also went on to bring CHRISTOPHER STEELE into the conversation.
Christopher Steele, you’ll recall put together the collection of raw intelligence referred to as “The Steele Dossier“. The question he was trying to answer: what is the nature of Donald Trump’s relationship with Russia? While Republicans like Jim Jordan – and the press dumbasses who repeat what criminals like Jordan say – insist The Steele Dossier has been debunked, that is absolutely untrue.
Why, we have to wonder, did Jim mention The Steele Dossier now? Is he trying to head off at the pass all the Russia dots everyone’s about to connect? You know, the ones that make it absolutely crystal clear that without Russia’s direct involvement, Trump would NEVER have been POTUS.
For the record? The Mueller Report did exonerate Trump either.
The sooner we place Jim Jordan under oath – and we begin questioning him at length and at depth – the better. Jim will break down into a puddle of piss and puke before the interrogation’s even warmed up. He’ll rat out Trump and everyone he can think of – his children included – because that is what mediocre banalities do!
Jim Jordan is stone cold evil. And stone cold banal. That’s why he’s a SUPER STAR of BANALITY.
